2011 WIRELESS EXCHANGE PROGRAM WITH JAPAN

A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR FACILITATED ACCESS TO THE JAPANESE WIRELESS MARKET

The Mobile Computing Promotion Consortium (MCPC) of Japan have partnered with Wavefront to connect Canada’s community of innovative wireless companies to the Japanese wireless market.  Attend a free WaveGuide seminar on June 13, 2011 in Toronto and June 15, 2011 in Vancouver to learn more about the MCPC and Japanese wireless market opportunities.

"LiveCast, a Vancouver-based streaming video provider, was invited by Wavefront to participate in their 2009 MCPC mission to Tokyo.  Making inroads into the Japanese corporate market and developing relationships with prospective partners is always a challenge for Canadian companies, especially for those of LiveCast’s size.  Wavefront’s efforts enabled us to establish relationships with executives at some firms we had been keenly targeting and are optimistic with respect to future opportunities." Trevor Whike, COO, Livecast Media, Inc.

Japan’s Mobile Market
Japan is one of the world’s top mobile markets with 119.5 million mobile subscribers and generating $71.7 billion in revenues. Mobile Internet penetration in Japan is more than double the U.S. or top European where 72 percent of the population uses mobile data services. With outstanding network quality and coverage and over 95% 3G handset penetration, Japan is the perfect breeding ground for rich mobile content and engaging campaigns.
