Wavefront is a community-based commercialization centre providing emerging wireless companies with access to office space in the heart of downtown steps away from the new Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre. Wavefront provides a unique professional environment for local companies as well as international companies looking to make Vancouver their jumping off point for entry into the North American wireless market.

In addition to standard office amenities, Wavefront provides a suite of services aimed at accelerating the commercialization of wireless applications and hardware, including access to:

• Hundreds of mobile handsets for onsite testing
• Several remote handset testing service options
• State-of-the-art mobile network test centre with access to a private HSPA network and advanced test equipment
• Fully equipped meeting rooms and usability test lab
• Waveguide™ executive and technical training
• Advisory services from industry experts

From shared desk space to private offices, Wavefront offers rental packages starting from $350/month. Start-up wireless companies have the opportunity to expand in a smooth and cost-effective way with easy onsite access to Wavefront's commercialization services and testing facilities so they can focus their resources on innovation and marketing.

Pilot Mentoring Program

Wavefront is piloting a free mentoring program for Wavefront Community members every Tuesday (1-5pm) at Wavefront offices at 1055 West Hastings St, Suite 1450, Vancouver.  Brad Lowe is on board as Wavefront's Industry and University Relations Advisor and will be available to answer questions and offer advice. 

Brad was most recently head of Nokia’s R&D Centre in Burnaby. While there, Brad was involved in the launch and evolution of Nokia’s Nseries devices and associated service offerings in Music, Games and Media. Brad brings a global view of the fast-growing mobile device and service market including all aspects of R&D, Operations, Marketing and all the functions that turn ideas to real product and service offerings.

Brad will be bringing in other mentors with diverse expertise from time to time.  Please let us know if you would like to offer your mentorship capabilities.
