SUMMARY
Attend this seminar to learn how mobile operators are adopting a new business model - Network as a Service or NaaS - that allows them to offer their network capabilities on a commercial basis to mobile application developers. Developers use these capabilities, such as mobility, location, real-time communication, messaging, user profiles and billing, to enrich and spur the creation of compelling composite applications or "mash-ups" that can be highly targeted towards thousands of niche markets. Operators offer their capabilities using Web Services, such as the GSMA OneAPI (Open Network Enablers API), which makes it significantly easier and faster for developers to build applications that combine the best of the Internet with the best of mobile telephony using a universally agreed set of cross-industry network APIs. The presentation will also include a case study where a LBS service was enriched and operator-enabled using the NaaS model and showcase how application developers can benefit from other Aepona customer deployments across North America.
