SUMMARY

Japan is one of the world’s top mobile markets with 112.7 million mobile subscribers and generating $71.5 billion in revenues. 72% of the population uses mobile data services and mobile internet penetration in Japan which is more than double the U.S. or top European countries. With outstanding network quality and coverage and over 95% 3G handset penetration, Japanese operators have fostered an environment containing rich mobile content and engaging campaigns.

Wavefront has partnered with the Mobile Computing Promotion Consortium (MCPC) of Japan to connect Canada’s community of innovative wireless and new media companies to the Japanese market. The MCPC has 168 member firms representing the top wireless operators and device manufacturers including NTT DOCOMO, KDDI, SOFTBANK MOBILE, Sharp, Fujitsu, Casio Computer and NEC.

Representatives from the MCPC will present at this seminar the Japanese wireless market opportunities and trends including tips for Japanese market entry, design tips for Japanese localization and how to take advantage of MCPC’s powerful mobile connections. This is a must-attend event if you are considering expansion into Japan – few selected companies will have opportunity to participate in the 2010 MCPC Mobile Exchange Program with Wavefront for one-on-one coaching sessions and chance to meet key Japanese wireless stakeholders at 2010 MCPC Solutions Fair in Tokyo.
