Brian Roberts Wavefront adds Vice President of Business Development

Wavefront, the commercialization centre accelerating the growth of British Columbia's wireless and new media cluster, announces Brian Roberts as the newest member of its executive team. Roberts joins Wavefront as Vice President, Business Development.

"Brian brings a wealth of experience in the wireless industry which will be a tremendous asset to the mobile developers we serve, and I am pleased to welcome him to the Wavefront team," said James Maynard, President of Wavefront. "As we continue to expand our reach and develop partnerships, I'm confident that Brian will be an asset to our team and an integral part of our growth."

With more than 16 years of experience in the wireless industry, Roberts' career has focused on accelerating and expanding the sales results of wireless carriers. At Wavefront, Roberts will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's business development efforts.

Prior to joining Wavefront, Roberts was General Manager, Business Sales at Bell Mobility where he was a key architect behind an accelerated growth strategy in British Columbia. Roberts also worked as Director of Sales for Canadian wireless carrier Fido. Roberts started his career in the wireless industry with Rogers Wireless where he held a variety of positions, including Director of Enterprise Sales. In addition to his wireless experience, Roberts served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for an internet payment company doing business development in North America, Asia and Europe. Roberts earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Victoria and has completed additional executive programs at the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
